MICROSITES FOR BUSINESSES
Let’s face it, the thought of getting your website done can be a bit much sometimes. There’s the cost, all that content to write, and photos to pick. There’s also being told it’ll take a month or two to make when you want it much sooner. It’s no wonder that so many of us put it off again and again.
Over the past decade we’ve worked with business owners who are looking for a straightforward website solution to get them started. Something that they can get online quickly and develop over time as their business evolves.
If you need a simple but effective website without breaking the bank, then our Microsites are the solution you’re looking for.
We’ve put together templates that make sure the core content your customers are looking for is on a simple one-page website. You brief us on a Word document that includes guidance notes. We customise the template you select with your own content and branding creating a one page website that truly represents your business. These sites are available for just £99 if you provide the content.
One of the biggest benefits of our Microsites is that after the set-up fee for building the website there’s just a £5 monthly fee that can be paid monthly, quarterly or annually to cover domain, hosting, emails, your SSL certificate, minor updates and more.
With no minimum term contract, you can have this site for a month, 4 months, or 5 years… depending on your needs. When you need to stop or upgrade to an expanded website then it’s easy to switch, making our Microsites an ideal temporary or get you started solution.
THE SECTIONS OF A TEMPLATE MICROSITE
A template Microsite is a one page website with the following defined sections so that you have a framework to work with and the flexibility to adapt to your needs.
Header Section
This top section is a photo background with a headline and couple of lines of text along with a button that takes people to the contact section.
Introduction Paragraph
This first paragraph can be used to introduce your business and summarise how you can help people that you work with.
Features
Depending on template there’s 3-6 features that you can use to highlight services, product ranges, USPs and other quick information to relay.
Spare Paragraph
This can be used for content such as testimonials, about us, how it works, discussing experience, areas covered, pricing or other information.
Photo Section
This photo section has three photos so this can be a great way to add photos of products or we can create graphics of testimonials.
Contact Section
This contains your contact information, social media profile links, opening hours, your privacy policy and appointment booking link.

FAQ’s
Got some questions? Our most frequently asked questions are below but if you have any other questions please ask on your order form and we will email back with the answer.
How different can my template website be to the original template?
We upload your logo, use your colours and Google fonts, use your photos (or suitable stock photos we source) and your content.
For your content you follow the template chosen ie a heading, introduction paragraph, 3 or 6 features, spare paragraph and contact section.
Think of it as “swapping” everything over. We can delete sections but not add new ones, and we do not change the layout.
We do not include additional plugins for extra functionality such as newsletters or paid products.
What does the Build process involve?
Once you have done all of the following;
- Paid your initial build fee via PayPal (which also requires you to choose a PayPal subscription option for your ongoing fee to start 30 days later)
- Emailed the completed briefing form which includes the text content along with the photos to be used if you are providing them
- If the domain is being transferred from elsewhere then the domain needs to be in our account. If we are purchasing the domain then we need confirmation of the name required. If your domain is a .com it often takes 10 working days to transfer so we will build it on a temporary domain of ours and then put it onto the actual domain once transferred (so that you’re not waiting 15 working days for your website)
We will build the website within5 working days. You get one set of “major” changes -such as changing what the spare paragaph is about. Any changes within the scope of the template once you’ve seen the website draft such as swapping photos over, tweaking text or finalising mobile response will be done within 2 working days.
The majority of websites are done within 5 working days if you’re able to provide feedback within 24 hours when emailed for feedback. We are not responsible for delays in completing your website based on awaiting information from you.
We do not change the template chosen once we have started to build for free. If you decide you’d prefer a different template we will charge £50 for redoing the site.
Can we extend the website in future?
Yes!
Often clients use this as a stepping stone whilst they gather content or the finances for a larger site.
We can easily extend these websites in future in a variety of ways for the appropriate additional fee.
Can I have any email accounts?
You can have up to two email accounts set up for no additional fee.
We would recommend that you use Google Workspace or Microsoft Office for emails though as these have additional functionalities and the Webmail accounts we provide are basic in functionality. Using a third party system also means that if you decide to change providers in the future that your emails shouldn’t be affected by downtime. We can put you in touch with IT providers who can help you with third party systems if desired as this is not something in our area of expertise.
I’ve already got a domain, can you build the website on my own set up?
Simplicity is one of the key values of this service – one set of fees and one provider for everything is a part of that.
If you want to have your own domain and hosting used then we will send you the JSON file to upload to your system – as we do not know everyone’s own system we do not get involved in this. You will need to have your own WordPress set up and Divi account which you maintain yourself.
What does the Ongoing Fee cover?
The ongoing fee covers;
- Our Divi license being enabled on your website
- Domain name
- Hosting
- Up to 2 email accounts using Webmail or you can organise for them to work via third party systems such as Google Workspace or Microsoft Office 365 (GW/MSO not included!).
- Standard SSL certificate
- Anti spam software plugin
- Updates to the theme and plugins used on your site
- Back up taken when we do updates or at least once a year if no updates made
- Basic minor ad hoc updates such as swapping a photo or changing the phone number – max of 20 minutes throughout the year
For other work we will quote accordingly with payment required in advance in most cases.
We charge £60 per year whether it’s £5 per month, £15 per quarter or £60 annually – if you purchased these systems and got a VA to do changes it’ll cost you about £100 per year in fees easily directly to those companies. Payment is taken via PayPal subscription with the first instalment due 30 days after your build fee.
It does not include;
- Adding sections/pages
- Major changes such as changing the colour scheme or font used
- Additional email accounts
- Technical support related to your emails
- Third party systems ie Google Workspace or support related to these
- Training you on anything related to your website (as there’s no blogging/ecommerce etc functionality and we do minor updates for you)
These get charged extra on a case by case basis with a quote provided in advance of proceeding. Payment would be required in advance in most cases.
Can you write the website content?
We can do the website content for an additional £50 which will be added to your build fee. You will still need to fill in a briefing form in order for us to do the content and this will add up to an additional 5 working days to our build time. Content needs to be approved by you before we put it on the site.
The content that will be written is the headline, introductory paragraph of approximately 100 words, up to 6 features and a second paragraph of approximately 100 words.
What are your cancellation terms?
If you would like to cancel your ongoing fee then you need to email us at least 7 calendar days before your next payment is due with confirmation of the website address and your PayPal email address.
You also need to confirm whether you are transferring away to another provider (as you are responsible for taking backups etc) or whether the website is being cancelled completely and is not required any longer.
You may take the website if the build fee has been fully paid and any outstanding ongoing fee payments are settled but you will need your own Divi license in order for it to work and your own version of any plugins used – worth approximately £75 a year. Once transferred we will not have any involvement in your site and will not be able to provide support. Please note we will not release your domain if there are any outstanding debts on your account.
